I always thought how awesome this board is because of the sheer number of posts, you get every type of opinion and poster and sometimes it gets heated but over time most respect each other and are united in being fans.

Just a wild guess but it's probably due to the hockey fans mainly posting on the general boards and not team boards whereas you look at the NFL side of things there is a lot of action on the team boards and spreading things out.
