Bout time. I'm guessing a pitcher is coming up to try to get this bullpen some rest.

Choo batted .069 in 33 PA's with M's.
Jones .230 in 147 PA's with M's.

Almonte .225 in 195 PA's.

Everyone step away from the ledge.

the only interesting thing about the m's this year was if one of them could break the season strikeout record.

almonte had a real shot.

oh well.

Yeah, no kidding. I think the guy still has the potential to be a good player. Let him go figure out how to not strikeout as much, if he can, then we will see.

Early indications are that OF James Jones will be recalled. He was pulled from the lineup in Tacoma tonight.

I am ok with that if he ends up being the one they bring up. Although I thought they would go with a pitcher to help with the worked bullpen.

That was my thought, but I like Jones and it is his chance to ride the Mariner outfield merry-go-round.

As much as I like Ackley, every play in left field is an adventure. I like Saunders in center and Romero in right.

No reason to be at the ledge now that Almonte is where he belongs. He is not ready for the majors. He was doing neither himself nor the team any good by being with the Mariners.

Two years ago he started the 2012 season in A ball. He only has 201 minor league games above A level. He only has 94 games at AAA. After the Mariners acquired him, he was moved through the minors too quickly. He needs more time at AAA. Maybe his time will come, but his time is not now.

Get what your saying, but there is a difference. Choo nor Jones were ever given the opportunity that Almonte has. Neither Choo nor Jones were an everyday player with those PA's.

My point is that if Lloyd didn't give him this chance then everyone would be crying out that we used Saunders after knowing he has failed a couple of times and not given the rookie a chance after having a decent showing in brief AB's last year. Lloyd made the right call to try him and the right call to end the experiment. I think a month is a fair amount of time. Now it's time for the big Juan Pierre.

I'd be pretty stoked if James Jones ended up like that. Career .295 hitter (.343 OBP) that averaged 47 SB a year. Count me in.

BTW, Jones is already 25 Years Old. Turns 26 in September. Only 7 months younger then Ackley. This is his one real shot to stick. Hopefully Lloyd gets him a couple starts up there

Thank God!

If it is James Jones coming up then that will keep pressure on Saunders to keep getting the hits at the dish...

Almonte isn't much younger than they are.

Ya, still referring to look on the field with high socks and choppy style of play. I am not all that worried about his age. Most players of average talent don't mature until mid to late 20's anyways. Whether he has the skill level to succeed, well we shall find out. I see him as a younger Chavez more than anything.
