That's a huge deal, even if it is basically the "pre-show". To get a national cable channel to air this thrown together mega "indy" show is one of the biggest things to happen in pro wrestling in years. Part of me thinks that WGN America might be testing the waters to run a weekly wrestling show if this does well. I know they Sinclair/Tribune deal fell thru but there's nothing stopping them from still partnering up with ROH.

Also, from what I've seen since, the WGN hour of All In with have a 15 man battle royal and The Briscoes vs SCU (Kazarian and Scorpio Sky)

They announced today that Jay Lethal will defend the ROH Title against the winner of the battle royal. So far, the card is

Cody Rhodes vs Nick Aldis (c) for the NWA Heavyweight Title
Okada vs Marty Scurll
Rey Mysterio, Fenix, and Bandido vs The Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi
Jay Lethal (c) vs battle royal winner for the ROH World Title
Christopher Daniels vs Stephen Amell
Hangman Page vs Joey Janela
Madison Rayne vs Britt Baker vs Chelsea Green vs Tessa Blanchard

Pre-show on WGN America
The Briscoes vs SoCal Uncensored (Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian)

Your ideas are probably more realistic but someone like Jericho or another big name would really work in that spot. The show soldout the first day so they don't need help with ticket sales and can afford to keep a last minute surprise. Even the name "over budget" makes it sound like they spent money on someone big.

I think I'd be uncomfortable with Punk at All In given his situation with Cabana. With it being in Chicago (also Cabana's hometown) and that story so fresh, I could see quite the hostile reaction to Punk. It's gonna be awhile before fans move past that

All In was awesome. I loved every bit of it. A little disappointed they had to end it so quickly because of the hard 11pm out but other than that, A show.

MOTN for me is either Scrull/Okada or Page/Janella. That spot off the ladder onto the table to end Page/Janella was INSANITY.

The issue i had was I went to replay something that i missed, Tessa doing the magnum, but it went back to the beginning.

When I fast forward or skipped. Same thing

As a fan and casual observer this event also reminded of ECWs heyday. It tapped into a similar vibe and energy.
