That was a very good show top to bottom. Only real dud was Cody vs Ogogo but that was predictable considering how shitty the story and build has been to it. Every other match, including the Deeb/Riho preshow match, was somewhere from good to great.

I'm not sure if Lio Rush is officially part of the roster yet. Could just be doing an appearance. Mark Henry got the "*insert name* is ALL ELITE" tweet they send out after all official signings but Lio hasn't had it yet. I kinda hope it is a one off. Lio is fine and all but they don't really need him from a roster standpoint. Their roster is packed as is. The only people they need to be signing right now are surefire, top of the card stars (like say Daniel Bryan or Samoa Joe if they are interested) and some women to beef that division just a hair (Iconics, Mickie James).
I thought that the Cody-Ogogo match was much better than I had anticipated. The casino battle royal wasn't anything special but was surprised at the winner. Sting looked better than I thought he would and was very well protected. Putting him in there with a good, talented guy like Sky helps quite a bit. I didn't think that the Stadium Stampede was as good as it was last year. I think that the crowd being loud all night made a big difference though in a lot of matches.
Lio as a one off wouldn't bother me. Joe would be a great asset as long as he's medically cleared. Daniel Bryan (or I guess he'd probably go back to being Brian Danielson) goes without saying. Same with Mickie. It'd only help a lot of the female talent there to be able to work with her.

It's very hard to say the MOTN.

I say the Tag tittle match but it's very close second (Stadium Stampede) and third (Cage/Page).

I think Lio points to a "Light heavyweight" divison. Which i can see a good crop that AEW has.

I'm thinking if they do a new belt, it'll be a trios/six man tag belts. As for MOTN, I'd probably go with the world title match in my opinion. I'd probably go the women's match second.

It was the right call and he pinned the guy that’s lowest on the totem poll in Pinnacle. They can easily drag this feud out for a while with singles and tag matches, leading to a final blowoff match.

thr ic disbanding is the right call

and they continue to make the pinnacle look weak

thr heel ic version (though they are geeks to everyone else except when facing the pinnacle) haven’t been booked this weak

I was not only surprised Inner Circle won, I was also expecting Pinnacle to win due to a member of the Inner Circle turning on the team.

It shows you how much wrestling has overused the turn when the lack of a turn swerves you.

right.

which is why a clean pinnacle win would’ve worked rather than waiting for an ic member to turn on them...

Womens match was very good but I was behind and wanted to see Stadium Stampede before 8:30 because I had to Shower and had a football draft at 9:30. So I 5 minute skipped the World title match.

With that said, although I have alot of issues with the cable company I'm with, I think they saved it as an On Demand thing.

Thinking I might rewatch all on Tuesday night if I can.

Oh. According to Lord TK. Lio was a handshake one off deal.

Update on Lio Rush:

Melzter reporting that he's actually signed with NJPW and he's part of the talent sharing deal they've been doing with AEW and Impact that last couple of months. Since travel is still restricted in Japan, they're letting him work shows in the US

Match of the night for me is the triple threat. They got me to believe some of those near falls despite the fact that before the match I knew there was no fucking way Omega was losing. You wouldn't have your title match go on 2nd to last if you were gonna have a new champ. That's something you close the show with. But the match was so good you still believed for a second that Pac or OC was gonna pull it out on a couple of those near falls

Not at all. They can keep this feud going for a while still if done right. How does Pinnacle look weak? It’s not like Sammy pinned any of the guys in the stable that mattered. He pinned the weakest link of the group in Spears. It didn’t hurt any of the Pinnacle at all and it helped Sammy get over more as a face by never giving up and ultimately coming through at the end. To me, that’s a win. I’d still have Pinnacle win the feud at the end but I would end the feud at All Out. I have a general idea of how I’d book it to get the ones that should be elevated in this feud over a bit more but that’s a long ways off.
The heel IC did look weak quite a bit. Sammy was doing a lot of jobs and P&P usually lost any match that mattered and were never anywhere near the tag titles.

Pinnacle won the blood and guts on a technicality. They were dominated most of the fight

p and p may have lost, but they looked good doing it. Many times it looked like they were going to win - and best friends needed outside help to beat them in that awesome street fight

Did IC dominate most of the match, sure. But Pinnacle won fair and square, no technicality about it.
And the street fight, it made them look dumb. They should’ve brought Hager, Sammy (unless that was during the one month suspension, which i don’t remember offhand if it was during that time frame) and Jericho to it. Easily would’ve had the numbers and beaten all of them to a pulp. P&P were big gets when they came in and they never made them anywhere close to contenders when they could’ve had good matches with both SCU and Omega/Hangman. That was a waste there.

Uneventful Dynamite tonight other than this which is pretty big

Still...kinda weird that he debuted with no music and the crowd sucked tonight (dead the entire show) so there was some really awkward silences

I'm surprised he debuted on Dynamite instead of the PPV and I'm not sure how I feel about the Vickie Guerrero pairing but still excited about Andrade in AEW. Of all the FAs available he was my favorite.

Andrade was definitely the only notable thing on the show last night I thought. I was surprised to see him since I didn’t think his 90 days were up yet.

Which makes me think it was filmed RIGHT AFTER DON.

But it was alive for the IC segment

Gotcha. I hadn’t heard that. I figured it was like everyone else that gets cut from there.
Yeah he somehow got out without one.

the rumor is Charlotte gave up mania for it. Obviously unconfirmed but it makes sense.

look at the trash we got instead from both title matches
