The first paragraph of the article is a little misleading as Meltzer says there was another major acquisition and the author speculates its Flair as hes heard thats a done deal.

I love Flair but I can't consider any non-active wrestler major given their recent signing. It could also be Cole, Wyatt etc

I don’t think it’d be Cole or Wyatt yet since it hasn’t been 90 days yet for Bray and Cole still is under WWE contract, albeit not for too much longer possibly.

It would make some sense for Christian to leave for Impact as the Impact champion after he loses to Omega for the AEW belt. With both Punk and Danielson supposedly coming in i'd expect Omega to drop the belt to 1 of them and depart for a few months whilst the 2 newcomers feud. Omega would still leave with another belt and he could come back fresh.
