I think center is hardest to evaluate in today's game. It has typically gone to the best rim protector, but now guarding in space is just as important.

I really don't think media should vote for these awards at all. many don't have a clue and many more simply follow pack mentality because they don't know how to analyze the game for themselves.

Major awards should be decided by player/coach vote. That still wouldn't be perfect, but it would be a much more educated choice. You would get some wild picks there too for sure, but results would be based more on current performance than reputation, IMO.
