With Chris Culliver's stock soaring
Carlos Rogers having the best year of any niner so far
Alexander Smith steadily making a bid at most improved player of the year
A top four front seven
A ho-hum offensive line
Decimated wide receiving core
Two dispensable safeties with one year contracts

How should we go about the draft this year?

1. Michael Brewster C
2. Janoris Jenkins CB
3. Kendall Wright WR
4. Kirk Cousins QB
5. Damarlo Belcher WR

NT, CB, S (Selecting two of the three positions with the final two picks.)

How about:

1. Andrew Luck?

On a more serious note, and speaking of arm chair GMs, I'm about to graduate and I'm starting to apply for internships. I'm hopefully applying for Football Operations and Finance with the 49ers!

That would be pretty sweet. I wonder if being a 49er fan would hurt you from getting the job though. I would not mention it if I were you. But who knows it may help?

The only OL who really interest me are Kalil (who won't be there), Cordy Glenn (who is impressing the crap out of me), and David Decastro. Not really overly impressed with Brewster for a guy expected to be a 1st round pick...

Just off the top of my head here are the guys who have impressed me & could be realistic later 1st round picks:

Cordy Glenn (might be a top 15 when it's all said & done)
Kirkpatrick
Michael Floyd (not sure though; dude's a trouble maker)
Brandon Thompson
Jerel Worthy
Ta'amu

Burfict (probably won't be there)

I'd add Janoris Jenkins if the coacing staff thinks he can behave himself. Maaaaaaaaaaybe Brandon Jenkins from FSU, but I'm very wary of FSU DEs...

Oh, and Andrew Luck. :)

If you get it just don't trade away all our picks for Locker!

Crick was no where to be found in the OSU game. Didn't focus on the matchup but I assume Brewster had a lot to do with it.

Really don't like Kirkpatrick as a CB. The guy plays too stiff for my taste

Well, Andrew Luck is obviously the prized player, but it's looking like we may not have a very good chance at getting him unless the Panthers or Colts get the top pick and we trade away our next 2-3 drafts for him and i am not opposed to doing that. If we are unable to land Luck in any scenario, then my next hope would be for us to try and land Landry Jones. I really like this guy personally, and after seeing him destroy the best Defense in the college football last week i am sold on him. The juror is still out on Barkley for me, but he might be my 3rd pick. If we absolutely can not get one of those 3 guys than i would hope we would look no further than Justin Blackmon or Morris Claiborne.

This is what i've got so far.

1. Andrew Luck
2. Ryan Broyles/Jayron Hosley
3. David Molk

Well i sure hope not. I didn't really like Bradford coming out of college at all. I was a big fan of Landry as soon as he took over for Bradford and i still think he's going to be better than Bradford ever will.

Don't get me wrong; Brewster is a great prospect. But if you're going to draft a C in the first round, like I expect someone will, he needs to be a dynamo. I don't see brewster as a Mangold / Pouncey type of C prospect. In fact, the guy Wisconson (forget his name) looked like he could give Brewster a run for his money.

Speaking of Crick, he's another guy I'd avoid drafting extremely high...

I'm not 100% sold on him either. But I think he has the most natural talent; I'm a little baffled by this CB class. Kirkpatrick probably won't even be there when the Niners pick.
