He damn sure was reported at 175 last offseason

Teams stats always over blow guys ... I remember San Diego having Brees at 6'2 and Flutie at 6 even....

2 inches over both their actual height....

Come on now bruh.... you got all this time to be on the Cowboys board.... but no time to google more than 1 site before you quote a stat???.....

Don't start slipping ... I will trip you

Dude, you can give a guy an inch or two. But seriously... He is reported at 217 by the teams official site. thats 42 LBS difference. And by the way, if you goole his weight, most sites have him at between 215-217... 175?? Come on man.

Twist... I know my eyes work pretty well. And a guy who is reported at 200+ is markedly bigger than a guy at 275.

But i get it.. you are all in on Romo.

BUt if RG3 was 175, how small does that make Romo since this is a picture of both standing side by side at the end of last season.

Now does RG3 really look 55 LBS lighter than Romo who is reported in the 230 range??

Im just saying dude. LOL

Its cool twist, first you say he is too small. I show you visual evidence that he is no where near as small as you think, now its a bad thing that he is actually a decent size. And he is one pound heavier than he was this time last year.

Alot of bulk there.

I do agree Romo is getting old though. Which is why i think Dallas would bring in a young guy to groom behind him if they were smart. Cause we have seen the alternative. Aikman retires, and the Quincy carter parade began.

Yes we need to address the future QB soon, but I for one think Tony has at least 3+ years left, as a very productive QB. Honestly I think he will stay at the helm without a problem through the 2017 season.

Manster.. as i pointed out.. Smart team would grab a highly rated young guy within the next two drafts to start grooming behind Romo. Average QB retirement age is 36 in the NFL. If Romo has 3 good years left, next year would give Dallas two years to groom a QB behind him. So that if he doesnt play into 2017, or isnt playing well, they arent

1. Desperate for a QB in the draft come 2017
2. Arent forced to keep Tony (at a very high price tag) into 2016 or beyond in the event that he does start to show his age.

If you grab a QB in 2014, Tony may play long enough so that you will lose the young QB to Free Agency. Romo's not talking retirement and he isnt showing signs of degrading at this point. It all depends on where we draft at and who's available.

I must say Shark you are awfully concerned with Dallas replacing Tony. I get a sense you believe he very well could kick the shit out the the Redskins.

IM just talking football man. Do I fear Romo?? Not really. From a team standpoint looking at Dallas, I think they would be smart to do what the Packers did with Rodgers. And even if they grabbed a young guy next year, on a five year deal he would be cheap and likely ready to go by the time Romo hangs it up.

From a strictly Redskins Cowboys perspective... I hope they hold onto Romo until I finish Law School. :D

According to DMN Tanney will be released. If he clears waivers Dallas would like to bring him back to the PS.

NO surprise there. But seriously how many undrafted FA Qbs have become franchise players... Warner, Romo... and?????

I'll just have to raise my eyebrow, and say HMMMMM. You do know they took Roger's because 1. Farve had talked about retiring 3 years prior. and 2. Rodgers feel way down the draft board. Let Romo start to hint retirement or Bridgewater slide down to the 32nd pick in the draft. Then by all means we draft a QB. What I don't want Dallas to do is waste a pick on Manziel. I have an idea. Maybe Washington will use one of the multiple early round picks they are going to get for Cousins on Manziel.

Again... strictly from a football standpoint here. Romo is 33. Im not saying Dallas should burn a first round pick on a QB. Im damn sure not saying they should trade up in the 1st to get a guy like Manziel (although it would make me chuckle I admit). But a SMART team would realize that Romo is in fact 33, MOST QBs retire by 36 or so. Romo will be 34 next year. So it would be smart for the Cowboys to look at say a 2nd round pick on a QB, where you likely could find a Kaepernick, Foles, Ponder type. NOT over draft him and NOT force a young guy in to start from day one ala Tannehill in Miami. Worst case, they get a guy they can groom for four years that likely makes a decent backup to Romo, costs less than Orton does right now, and if Romo is still there in 2017 you have the option of resigning your backup that Knows your system and might not be in high demand because no one has seen him outside your organization for the past four years, or you draft another one in 2016.

geno Smith is on a 4 year $5 million dollar deal.

Orton is on a 3 year $10 million dollar deal.

At the end of both deals... which player is better for the team long term??

With our 2nd 3rd round pick, I thought having Matt Barkley fall that far made for an ideal situation to take a chance on a young QB. After 2-3 years of sitting behind Romo, who knows? I know it might have cost us Wilcox, but there were a couple of other nice safety prospects who slid, Phillip Thomas for one

That's bullshit dude....

The ONLY people on the Quincy Carter bandwagon were black racist ..... glad the Cowboys had a black Qb.... Hell to this day we still have guys saying the only reason he isnt a HOF Dallas Qb .. and was shunned from the league was the color of his skin (myround for example A)

Romo .. Vick 30+ Hell Elway at 30+ wasnt a runner either and bulked up ... thats age weight ...

Sit in a gym pre 25 ... and bulk up that much in a few months ... steroids or HGH .... I call it like I see it ...

And really .... without you even trolling here now ... you should be concerned on the agreement for retired players that was declared...

Yet to announce ... but soon will... that paying the retired players impacts every current player...
as in cut off points to injuries

X amount of concussions ... players will now be forced to retire ... think that is 5
ACL think that is 3 ( your boy already has 2)
back injuries ... ect ect ect ....

As a Cowboys fan I am no longer worried about RG3 .... one more knee/acl injury ... he will retire... NFL isn't going to pay for him to to enough damage to blame it on the league and collect millions the rest of his life .....

twist.. you miss my point. When teams assume that the Current guy will play forever and dont take into account his age and the natural time line of the position, thats when they are forced into picking guys like Carter and starting him. Imagine if you will for a second what might have been if Dallas had actually groomed a QB behind Aikman.

As for RG3 and his knee, in case you havent noticed the league is changing. And after the THREE players lost to low blows this preseason, it wont be long before ANY shot below mid thigh is illegal any way. But since you are sure.. and i dont do this often... I got $100 that says RG3 plays atleast 10 years in the league or if he does retire early it wont be because of a knee injury.

You game??
