I feel like Stanton will suffer from A-Rod's disease for his entire career in pinstripes. No matter what he does, it won't be enough

Stanton is more likeable than A-Roid though, so he's got that going for him.

ARod had seasons in NY where he would have a slash line around .280/35/100 which any team will take from there 3b. A number of the fans in NY expect a slash line of .350/50/150 every season from him and nobody can deliver that year in and year out. I agree with @Used 2 B Hu that alot of Yankees fans are going to treat Stanton the same way. Because I like to watch the Marlins in the NL, I came into the trade knowing that the Yankees are getting an underrated outfielder who was extremely streaky at the plate. But when on is one the best there is, when off is a strikeout machine.
