Toronto is stacked with great veteran baseball players--- Donaldson, Tulo, Bautista, Encarnacion, Martin--- even Upton, Sanders. They definitely have a much deeper rotation right now than the Tribe does. The Jays offence was gangbusters June and July (and Bautista missed a full month of that period) but dropped the hell off after the trade deadline. A lot of it was Donaldson having some sort of issue that was holding him back along with another Bautista injury but Saunders cooled the hell off after the ASG and Upton never really provided much to compensate for that.
I'm less confident in Liriano coming out of the pen than I am of Osuna. Part of the BP problems is that Gibbons has no idea how to use it situationally.
The Tribe offense is less dependent on the home run and seems like its a good fit for the postseason with how they steal bases, move runners, and dont really make many mistakes- but its just overall not nearly as good an offense as the Toronto offense on paper- obviously I know the game isnt played on paper though.
Clevinger starting game 4 worries me. Bauer and Tomlin have been homer prone during the season.
I dont want to say the series is over- and that it is a MUST win tonight for the Indians- but if they lose Game 1 at home with Kluber against Estrada it will not be good. They need to win Game 1 and start to put the pressure on the Blue Jays. If they can do that I think they win the series in 6.
