My guess is they are trying to prop up the sagging ratings of FS1. They literally have a show about a woman pitching in the big leagues on instead of the World Series.

Yeah, that was my next guess was just to bump up their FS1 subscriptions.

I'm sure that's why some playoff games are on MLB network, although if i just had the MLB playoff channels all year long i'd be ok.
