Blue jays are favorite to win ALCS.
%53.9. And to win WS 26.2. %.
My numbers have blue jays as 58.6% to win ALCS..but I crunch the numbers a little more closer than vegas

Suuuuuure. Best BP pitcher in the league. He doesnt have letdowns. He actually had one against Boston when he gave up that double off the wall lol

With all due respect to Cleveland, I think the Jays are going to destroy them. For some reason the bats have all woken up for the first time this year. Their O completely underperformed all year and suddenly at just the right time everyone seems to have woken up.

I'll just be happy to not see an 18 inning marathon that has Darwin Barney and Ryan Goings pitching relief.
Seriously though, I think a lot of you are selling Cleveland short. I like the Jays starting pitching for sure but Cleveland has a solid bullpen and Francona is a top-notch manager who knows what it takes to win. As for the offense, yeah, the Blue Jays have been bashing but they are falling into some bad habits again. Home run happy and swinging for the fences too much and smart pitching can shut them down. It's fine when they connect but they looked bad against Bush (other than JD's double). They got lucky because of bad defense in the clincher.
I could see this series going 6 or even 7 easy. It is October baseball and you can throw all the stats and numbers out the window for the most part. It comes down to which team plays better in a particular series and everything that came before means diddley squat. The Indians just shut down the Sox and Boston had the best offense all year. Of course, they signed the jinx ( cough, David Price, cough). Sorry, Sox fans, but everyone saw that coming, didn't they.
Anyway, cheers all. Enjoy the LCS and let's hope we see well pitched, well played games and hopefully the umps are hardly noticed. Sadly, I will have to deal with TBS broadcasting and listen to Ron fucking Darling.

We had to suffer through Ron Darling in the ALDS, now we get him again? Son of a bitch!

Aside from that, I can't wait for this series. I think these two teams match up well.

It's all what happens early. If they can get to the Cleveland starters and the Jays starters hold up, there's no reason they can't comfortably do this in 6 games. If games are tight heading late, well, you're hoping a good BP managed by a guy who actually knows how to manage a BP screws up against a manager who pretty much sits back and relaxes once the anthems end.

I always love when my team is the underdog and Francona loves it too. They were heavy underdogs against the Red Sox and didn't have 2 out of their best 3 starters. Francona is just a winner and that's why I think any team he manages that is in the playoffs has a chance. Teeing off on the struggling Rangers wasn't as impressive as people are saying, that being said the Jays offense is playing fantastic. The main question is: when the game is close can the Jays play small ball? We will see.

I would expect a Blue Jays fan to say Toronto will destroy Cleveland. Then again weren't the Sox supposed to take care of the Tribe as well? I just hope Canada doesn't pull another fast one & hold up the entire team @ the border like what happened to the Cavs when they played the Raptors in the playoffs.:D

The Rangers clinched on Sept. 23; in their 25 games previous to that they were 16-9. How is playing .640 ball considered "struggling" lol?

The plan this time is to get a bunch of natives to do their traditional dances and chants outside the team hotel all night.

I know it would be risky, but compared to Clevenger...I might start Salazar in game 4 anyway. even if he gets you 4 innings, it's probably 4 better than what Clevenger would give you. Maybe try to sneak 1 or 2 IP out of Clevenger after that. And then it's SAM time (Shaw/Allen/Miller).

Took 3 of 4 from the Indians at the end of August, too.

If they were "struggling", that bodes very poorly for Cleveland.

Four whole games?! In August?!

Who gives a shit?

Indians pitchers just shut down a much better offense than the Blue Jays. That was this week. How does that bode for the blow jobs?

Texas scored eight more runs than they allowed over the entire season. Their team ERA was the third worst in the AL. A case could be made that they were the third best team in the AL West.

The Blue Jays offense jumped on a team with shitty pitching. Be happy and congratulations. Don't fool yourself into thinking it was some amazing feat.
