It's totally false. They have been excellent all year, expected from a Francona ballclub. Otero, Shaw, Miller and Allen is probably the best in baseball, at least this year IMO

They had a top bullpen measured by ERA for the entire 2016 season, and Miller only accounted for about 6% of their relief innings.

I don't know if they can keep up with what they've been doing in the postseason, but they're decidedly not a smoke and mirrors relief corps.

The Q also once said that the Indians were going to regret "overpaying" for Miller. I asked him to explain why he thought they've overpaid for Miller, but he ignored that too.

As I said, I've seen some really good posts from him, but I've also seen questionable ones, and when you ask about the questionable ones, he doesn't support his position at all, just ignores you.

We'll see. I'd like to see if he really thinks that the Indians have a smoke and mirrors bullpen and that the Indians have overpaid for Miller and, if so, why.

If he doesn't respond at all, I'll just assume he doesn't agree with what he said, but doesn't want to say it.

Cleveland fans are gonna see their sports teams win an NBA title and make it to(possibly win) a WS in the same year? Talk about spoiling the fan base.

yea, its unbelievable. But Cleveland deserve it for the drought they've been through......

sucks they've lost so many good pitchers though.

How do you overpay for a guy that is absolutely lights out? lol...He is the best reliever in the majors and it was probably the best move before the trade deadline this year.

I agree. Maybe we can get a counterpoint from Q.

Kinda pissed the game is on at 3. Yeah, I understand they don't want two games playing at the same time but I still think they could start one around 5 and then start the other one about 7:30 or 8 bc it is on the west coast. I can watch it at work so it will be fine but still sucks.

Alright, I'm going to put this under a spoiler tag, because it's nasty.

It's a pic of Bauer's finger during warmup yesterday before the game. I'm not a doctor, but I learned he got ten stitches -- that's a shitload for a finger -- and after seeing this pic, I don't see how that's going to heal enough to pitch at all this year.

Hey Slinkster, guess I'll go ahead and prof some 'grats, because it looks like the Jays are done here.

I'd bet on the Indians but this game wasn't in the vbookie last time I checked.

I never fuck my chickens before they're fried. Or something like that.

They have suffered long enough. Let them have a couple.
As long as San Diego gets some soon, they're the next city that needs to end a sports championship drought.

Well, we still have the Browns.
Not even the best year in Cleveland sports history can turn that around. Plus it helps the fan base not get too big headed, gotta have the balance of great and shit or all Cleveland fans will be expecting a 3peat for the Cavs, back to back titles for the Indians, and the Browns to reach .500. No need for those unrealistic expectations.

Really impressive that they're 6-0 so far when the rotation includes Josh Tomlin and Drone Boy. That BP is nasty, especially Miller.

Browns playing .500 now that is insanity

You probably could guess this already, but Bauer, while well liked in Cleveland, but most are pretty pissed because of his idiotic toy fuckup. what a moron. pretty sure he got his ass reamed for that one. and he will have a modified contract clause next time his is up.....

bottom line, the team would be better with him available. but he really let his team down by this stupid injury.

I'd listen to Slinky, Tribe fans. One of the All-Time Great Prognosticators has picked the Jays to win....so I would wait until Cleveland has the final out in their 4th win before celebrating. This expert predicted 6 runs for the Jays last night, and early exit for Cleveland in the postseason and....

Stroman..Indians have never beat this guy. I like blue jays chances

These predictions come from a guy who thinks Casey Kassum is the LA Rams starting QB...so I would take them VERY seriously.

When I first heard about his injury, I was pissed off.

I saw an interview with Francona the other day, and he gave me a little different perspective on the situation.

Bauer's 25 years old. He wasn't out drinking, starting fights, getting DUI's or whatever. He was playing with a toy. You'd never think that would slice his finger open, but it did. It was a freak accident. It sucks for sure, but I'm not going to begrudge the kid for it. I'm betting that he's beating himself up for blowing his chance to pitch in the postseason and letting his team down.
