Gotta wonder if he goes the way of La'el Collins. I feel like between guns and domestic violence, NFL teams feel the pressure if they decide they want to draft one of these guys, even though the overwhelming talent is clearly there.

Agreed, except Cam appears to deserve it and Collins was a victim of incredibly poor timing, had the draft been several days later, he would have gone early. But with 32 teams, somebody is feeling more pressure to win and will take Cam felony or not.

So true. Can't believe all these kids now a days that can get so close to fulfilling their dream and big paydays, then jeopardize it by doing something stupid at the worst possible time. He'll still be a pro IMO. Dude is a talent. You don't see many true freshman come in and start right away.

Yep, shit like this happens every year - injuries, transfers, dismissals, off-field trouble, etc. Every team goes through it. It's the worst part of the offseason, and all you can do is hope that it's not too bad for your own team.

So I know one OT doesn't make a team, but does this temper the expectations for the offense a bit this year? It's tough losing a center, QB and RB, even with Bama depth, but that guy was the anchor.

It hurts our chances bad.

One of the stats I pay attention too during the offseason and preseason is the number of combined starts the O-Line has. We just lost a guy who had started for the past 2 years, so we just lost about 29 starts on the O-Line.

Won't be surprised to see the USC line get a good bit closer now.

The one bright side is that it happened early enough that Saban and the o line coach can get a backup in there right away in the fall. This kind of thing really sucks a week before the season or during it
