This loss will make us 1-6 over our last 7 games of the season and a lousy 4-10 over our last 14. Most of those losses weren't even competitive either.

This collapse definitely ranks in the top 10 of all time in MLB history. Not Red Sox or Mets bad, but still really bad.

See? Reynolds struck out, but at least he battled. At least he made the pitcher throw a nasty pitch to beat him. Hamilton walks up to the plate, lazily swings at the first 3 pitches he sees no matter where they are, then smiles as he lazily walks back to the dugout.

Wash has lost the clubhouse. It's been a good run but he's gotta go. His techniques are clearly no longer effective.

Here's the combination of factors which have led us to this epic collapse:

- Wash's poor management this season, insisting on MY playing the entire year while letting Gentry's hot bat rot on the bench and refusing to juggle the lineup despite players like Kinsler struggling mightily

- The season-ending injuries to Neftali Feliz and especially Colby Lewis, which led to bums like Feldman and Oswalt and unprepared rookies like Perez and Grimm pitching meaningful starts throughout the year

- Kinsler and Hamilton becoming absolutely useless over the last 2 months of the season, making runs much harder to come by with the top of the lineup not producing

- Very poor hitting with RISP for a good chunk of the year

- Mike Trout and the Oakland A's both having astronomically good seasons, leading to additional losses for he Rangers

- Fatigue finally catching up with them after playing in 2 straight World Series runs. They just don't have anywhere near the same fire, heart, or effort they did from the last 2 years. They just look tired and ready for it to end.

So if what you're saying is that the Rangers just fucking sucked across the board, than I agree with you.

No, to be fair, they haven't sucked across the board. Darvish was lights out and I'm excited we've got him for 5 more years. Beltre was an absolute animal and played his heart out. An awesome year for him. Nathan was as shut down as it gets until the last week of the year. Koji was brilliant too. Harrison slowed down around September, but he still had a nice season. So did Andrus, Murphy, and Gentry.

Just way too much failure from Wash, Hamilton, MY, Kinsler, Cruz, the 5th starter spot, and to a lesser extent Napoli and Holland.

Classic. Wash waits until NOW to let Profar get a meaningful at-bat.

And the total collapse of the Ranger's 2012 season is complete.
