Not saying he was a bust. Just saying he went from a perennial all-star and top 20 MVP candidate to…none of that…as soon as he arrived in New York(despite apparently adding PED’s, too). Also, you could have scored 100 runs leading off for that team. They were loaded.Scored 117 and 120 runs his first two years as a Yankee, leadoff hitter and 2B for arguably the best team of all time.
Yips aside, hard to call him a bust.
