Never saw either, but was lucky enough to see Carlin back in the 90s-In a small theater in upper Westchester, he was amazing.

I saw Carlin at least 10 times. I went to 3 of his HBO special tapings. After he would do the special he would turn down the lights and do another 45 minutes of old stuff. Before the HBO specials he would tour doing the new stuff and I would see him at the Westbury Music Fait in long Island which was in the round. He was always great

Every now and again I go down the You-tube rabbit hole and watch Rodney and Rickles clips. Always cracks me up. I wish I would have seen Rodney live but never did. I did get to see Rickles on one of his last tours in a smallish place in Manhattan. I forget the exact year but he was at least 80 at the time and he was awesome.

I'm on YouTube constantly watching old clips of Rodney......amazing delivery and facial expressions......that talent will never be duplicated or seen again.....

Barry M. Bloom of Sportico reports that general manager Brian Cashman "is expected to return next year and beyond" with the Yankees.​

Bloom says that the new deal for Cashman -- whose contract expires after the season -- won't be announced until the offseason, but it's fully expected to happen. Cashman has been with the Yankees since 1998 and has experienced plenty of success, so it's difficult to imagine anyone else in charge of baseball operations. The Yanks have struggled since the All-Star break but retain a 7.5-game lead in the American League East.
