That 2006 draft still the best of Cashman's tenure IMO
Has Brackman retired yet?Killer Bs!
Ah the memories.

There had to be something else going on with Montgomery to explain that trade. Something off-the-field, I would guess. Because you don’t just trade a reliable #3 or #4 LEFTY starter for a dead guy. I don’t think we were told all the details on this one.Jordan Montgomery since being traded to the Cards:
3 starts, 16.2 innings, 0.54 ERA, 0.72 whip, 17K's, 3 BB, 12 Hits.

By all reports he was very popular in the locker room so I can't imagine what the issue could have been. Plus, the Cards picked him up and they run a pretty tight ship. This might just be Cashman falling in love with a player and allowing himself to be taken advantage of since he feels he has 5 starters without him. There had to be something else going on with Montgomery to explain that trade. Babe Ruth?Worst trade ever…..
Babe Ruth?
It's not exactly the Tom Seaver trade but it's pretty damn badWorst trade ever…..
Not from this side of the fence. That is filed under “best”

I hear ya, even if the guy was healthy it makes no sense. Competent starting pitching, much less a left hander should have gotten a much bigger returnI completely exaggerated, but it pisses me off because it makes no sense whatsoever
It's a strong draft, but two of those players were good elsewhere (Kennedy and Melancon).
Welp.500 again
