Yanks offense is not the problem imo, the starters are in question. If gray gets off to good start, it will carry yanks straight through.

Gap between 1 and 2 is larger than the gap between 2 and 9. Me likey.

Although I'm dubious about Houston's pen being superior to Cleveland's.

@SlinkyRedfoot must be triggered.

Ther were a few Indians with ERAs considerably lower than their FIPs (McAllister, Goody, Otero) and they lost Shaw (2.96 FIP, 3.20 xFIP). I do think the Indians have a better bullpen though. A bullpen of Harris/Giles/Devenski/Peacock? looks pretty good and I like Hoyt.

Good point-Joe Smith is gone too.

But Andrew Miller to Cody Allen is still pretty damn impressive-I guess the argument (a valid one) is Houston is deeper.

Projections are just that, and for the next six months, all I have to worry about is the Twins and White Sox.

Losing Shaw sucks. On the plus side, the badass defense that helped those other pitchers outperform their FIPs is returning.

Meh. He's really good, don't get me wrong, but it's like when people point to the Indians "losing" Jay Bruce. The Indians had a top offense and pitching staff last year and neither Bruce or Smith had much to do with either. Bruce knocked in 3% of the Indians RBIs and Smith pitched 1% of the team's innings.

Also, fuck you guys.

regardless, I can't imagine a lot of bullpen projections verify. Relievers are easily the most volatile players in baseball.

Word.

I like having Miller and Allen.

This is likely the last year for that.
