This is BIRDLAND

Opening day

not a single player on the Os squad would start over any Yankees lineup today even as it stands, yet alone normal days.

Baltimore was hopping downtown with some enthusiasm when I was down there earlier.

These Os scrubs and no-name players like to play hard.

They have no business being on a roster, but the fans love them.

Might be a very fun 50 win season after all.

Another home run given up by the Red Sox staff. Mother of christ!

Watching Red Sox/A's. I'm hoping the Red Sox are going through some early-season jitters because right now the team isn't looking good at all.

Twice now the rookie manager pulls a dominant Orioles starter early as fuck

The Orioles have zero arms in the bullpen. Why pull the starter so early?

I just think Brandon Hyde is chomping at the bit to make some pitching moves....showing some rookie over-enthusiasm

twice in one week now.

What is the biggest contract ever to just EAT?

110 million to cut Chris Davis is the price tag.
(68 million until 2022, then some Bonilla type 42 million deferred until 2037)

1 for his last 52 with 28 strikeouts
0 for 17 in 2019 with 12 strikeouts somehow getting worse.

He looks worse than last year when he had the worst season in history for any player of all time according to Elias.

Works out, because they would've been rained out if they were scheduled.

And Wile E. Boone can rest his bullpen that he is trying to burn to the ground.....

Right?

He uses Tarpley with a 1 run lead the other day, and he promptly blows it.

Warms him with a 4 run lead yesterday, then goes ahead and brings in Chapman anyway.

"Binder" Joe looks better with each passing day.

So...I'm thinking Gio Gonzalez is not the answer.

4 IP 8H 3BB 8ER in the AAA opener.

He manages out of complete panic...why did Lasagna go 4 innings the other day? I didn't see what the pitch count was, but was a puzzling move unless I missed something.....Agree, he makes Girardi look like a genius most days.....

70 pitches on the nose. I understand he's a kid, and it was his first start, but he still had swing and miss stuff going.

Sometimes, you've got to trust your eyes over the # of pitches.
