Ellsbury was a bargain compared to this one. At least Jacoby gave you a couple healthy(though mostly mediocre) seasons. Rendon hasn’t been able to play more than 60 games in a single season since the Angels signed him.

This is an all-timer that’s up there with Chris Davis, Prince Fielder & Strasburg. I’m sure there are others, but the Angels basically lit $245m on fire with this deal.
