They dropped 2 of 3 to the A’s. This stretch isn’t about the opponent, it’s about the Phils. They just lost a fucking series to the Guardians where they didn’t have an extra base hit until Sunday. Alvarado hasn’t given up a HR to a lefty in 2 years…enter a fucking Chinese slap bunting bull dyke that takes him deep.

But it was funny that a couple of decent bats had everyone saying watch out for the Mariners

They are 4-6 in their last 10 before tonight. And that includes sweeping the White Sox

So basically they haven't beaten anyone aside the worst team in major league history for like 2 weeks.

Still disgusted that they didn’t pull away from the stros in April and may. No way should Houston be tied for first right now. They were 25-33 at the end of may. Just doesn’t make sense

Duran's got a good shot at 80 XBH, and could even make a run at 90 (there's only been 71 such seasons). It'll be tough, but if he continues hitting like he has since April 27 (he's hit .305/.363/.557 since then with a 100+ XBH pace over 162 games). That he could do that and finish in the top 10 in steals would be a pretty cool feat. It's been a blast watching him this year.

Yoshida's also been on a tear. In some ways, he's looking more like 1st half of 2023 Yoshida.
