Judge should be getting the Barry Bonds treatment at this point. Just put him on and let someone else beat you.

Dominguez has barely played in a year. He’s going to need plenty of time to ramp up. And he might not hit like a savior upon his return.

Stanton? He’s feast or famine and generally an easy out. I’d still walk Judge to face Stanton nearly every time. He’s definitely a massive upgrade over Austin Wells or JD Davis, though. No denying that.

The overall pitching and bullpen have been good. They need more pitching and a good RH bat and they could make some noise in the 2nd half. Casas should be back on a few weeks and he’s one of their best players when he’s healthy. I’m not sure what to think at this point. They could get hot or go right in the tank and neither outcome would surprise me.

1-5 to start the 2nd half and a BRUTAL schedule is not what the doctor ordered. Now they have to go to NY after a day off. Maybe they can regroup there. They should still be buyers at the deadline as a playoff spot is definitely within reach.

Bullpen was absolutely awful on this trip. They need some help there.

Today was just a getaway day game ahead of a long flight and a day off. They didn’t show up. Duran continues to emerge as a legit star, though. Gotta love that development.
