I'd put Buxton in over Santander for sure, but Santander's still a good major leaguer. 121 OPS+ over the last 2.5 years and a 125 OPS+. I don't think he'd rank that highly on an all-time list of worst All-Star selections.

it's crazy to think Buxton's got a career WAR of 23.4 with all the time he's missed. crazy to see a guy average 5.1 WAR per 162 (which would stack up to some Hall of Famers), but he's never eclipsed that figure in a single season. too bad, he is an awesome talent.

Its more so that Santander has a ghastly .298 OBP. Has .7 less War than Buxton in 17 more games(that's incredible) and is virtually current version Stanton contract. Who everyone says is washed.

O's have like 7 guys in already. Casual fans are not asking for Santander.

For the record I don't think Buxton should be in, I'm sure there are others more deserving. Hell, unless I'm still mistaken Brent Rooker is still not in.

I just don't need to watch the 5-9th best players on some teams. Especially when they are randos.

That was an ugly series. Although I think a young team was bound to be worn out by having only one day off from the end of May through June, and then rolling onto a West Coast trip.

Those are the breaks, and you gotta deal with them though. The pitching is a little worrying, although I think Kremer will bounce back.

Also, going to say that we need to change the dynamic here a little bit because we have way too many left-handed hitters right now and that has exposed us with Shoto and Steele taking us to task. Bring up Mayo to platoon with Ryan O’Hearn, and I think it’s time one of Urias or Mateo got shipped out.
