Most series are bigger than others accross a season. And this series against Boston was huge. The Yankees needed to come away with a series win and they couldn’t. And it may be soon to put the fork in them if you ask me.

Yanks still have a 7.5 game lead on a WC berth.

I think its unlikely that even 1 of Minny or Boston catches them, and its nearly impossible that both plus 1 other team do.

Yankees probably DO win that series if Volpe runs hard on Friday night, though. It’s hardly like they were embarrassed out there. Yankees still in a good spot, overall, as long as Judge stays healthy.
