So?
You objected to the fact that the Yankees are, in fact, 4 games behind the O’s in the loss colum?

You objected to the term “Skankees?”

Might you benefit from a thicker skin?
I didn’t object that. I was commenting solely on his post that came off as a 5 yr old. This board is for adults only. Also never responded to him lol

I was talking to my Yankees buddy but you don’t know how to mind your business

The funniest part of your last post is that you think the other O’s fan’s post comes off as if he is five years old, but not yours.

Nobody wrote you back in your rage stream of seven unanswered posts, brother.

You probably need to relax.

Also, if you wanted to have a “talk” with your “yankees buddy” on a public message board, you should DM that person like a normal person.

Anything posted by you, me, or anybody else is fair game for public consumption, or - as is often the case with your posts - ridicule.

Wasn’t looking for a response from my post last night

What a diffrence time makes for a franchise that finished the furthest back in history just 5 years ago.

Gunnar Henderson & Adley Rutschman will be starters at the all star game.
Jordan Westburg, Grayson Rodriguez, Ryan Mountcastle, and Ryan Ohearn will get strong consideration and should be all-stars.

All 7 should be all-stars (along with Burnes), but the rule for one star on each franchise will probably limit the Orioles to 5.
Combined those seven (under age 27) all-star level players make less than 10 million combined for a few years signed.

I want to think our GM is the smartest guy on earth, but its probably the greatest single series of lucky breaks in history.
It’s amazing what happens when you hire a competent GM, who is free from meddling, and who hires people in the front office and development system based on merit instead of their biggest qualification being part of “The Orioles Way” from 20-30 years ago.

Also amazing what will happen when said competent GM hires someone to build a competent analytics department instead of it being a small, overlooked part of the organization with something like 3 full-time employees.

We haven’t even gotten to the part yet where we ignored the Latin America market for 20 years, where something like 20% of MLB players come from.

Instead of letting the Jose Bautistas and Justin Turners go, we‘re actually bringing in those guys and turning them around into solid players- see Ryan O’Hearn, Yennier Cano, etc.

It’s an exiting time to be a fan of this franchise. I just hope Rubenstein has the pockets to retain some of the talent.

First up should be Gunnar: 23 years old and already being named one of the best players in all of MLB at a premium position.

Agreed. Every month, hell, every week he just gets more and more expensive. You have to establish a great pipeline to trade and then replenish talent, but that’s not to trade away your superstar building blocks. You can’t keep everyone but you have to be strategic with those stars at keystone positions.

Weissert's fallen off. All I ask of Anderson is to get through the 8th and spare the pen further.

Of course you are. After all, the yankees are the team of destiny. The Yankees have won the whole thing 27 times. The Yankees and their fans are the only group of people who can gloat or bitch about their team because they’ve been there 27 times before.

Did I mention that they won 27 world titles?

Its Stanton’s fault.
It’s Volpe’s. No its not. Volpe is better in every way than YOUR shortstop.
Jeter. The Captain.
All Rise!

Let’s go Yankees!!!
Its why most yankees fans are insufferable. you pretty much nailed the typical yankees fan

On June 11th the Yankees were 48-21, and the O’s were 44-22. They were 3 up on the Orioles.

In truth, the Yankees lost 5 games during their extended period of suckiness.

Now while I hope the yankees continue their general suckiness for the remainder of the season, the chances of that happening are nil. They’ll get their groove back on and start winning games / series again sooner or later.

I do think Navamind is correct in asserting that they played over their heads for a while and have regressed to the mean.

Meanwhile, the O’s went 12-10 during that same period - not exactly world beaters - and the Sox seemed to have developed a pretty interesting identity as a team.

Anyway, should make for a good second half for the AL Beast.
They did play over their heads

They had a shit schedule

Soon as they played teams they needed to beat, they failed

I hope not. I love Aaron Boone as the Yankees manager. I hope he gets a multiyear contract extension.

Torre to Girardi to Boone is quite a fall from grace.

Cade Povich is not it. I’ve seen enough for him to go back down to AAA.
he has work to do. Iffy command he doesn't have a standout pitch. he relies on deception. I think he'll be a fine starter eventually
