This is pretty funny tho
Stroman was a fucking horror show after the ASB though.
I am not overly optimistic about this signing.

BA's Top 100 prospects list came out yesterday. AL East representing of course. Royals, not so much.
Most prospects:
Orioles (6)
Rays (6)
Yankees (6)
Padres (6)
Least prospects
Royals (0)
Diamondbacks (1)
Astros (1)
Angels (1)
Well they already fired Dayton Moore. I suppose they could try firing him again.Holy shit. Royals have had a top 10 pick the last 5 years (and top 5 two of those years). Somebody's head should be rolling today.
Love this swing
Holy shit. Add in Boston's 4 and Toronto's 2 - the AL East has 24 of the top 100....BA's Top 100 prospects list came out yesterday. AL East representing of course. Royals, not so much.

Look at his career. Only 2 seasons over 130 IP. 2 Cy Youngs, but the other seasons were rather pedestrian. Not sure I'd take a gamble on him for more than a year or 2 with a lot of incentives. Not sure what's more stunning, the Yankees offering Snell 6/$150M or the fact that's the only offer he's gotten.

I get all of that. Unfortunately, he is very inconsistent. When he is good, he is great. When he isn't good, he is pedestrian. Would you buy 3+ years of pedestrian just to get one excellent season? I would not.Boras is his agent, so that's not happening and probably why he's only got one offer in his pocket.
Some similarities with David Price before Boston signed him to that monster deal, which of course did not work out.

Just what the Yankees need, another injury prone pitcher that will be a roll of the dice……
Cole/Stroman/Rodon/Cortes/Schmidt
A lot could possibly go right, but a shit ton more likely will go wrong. I don't think Snell is necessarily the answer, but I think they still need to reinforce that rotation somehow.
If they didn't run Monty out of town, they wouldn't be in this predicament.....
