Averages 5 2/3, which ranks around 54th. This year was also only the second time he's thrown 180 innings.. his next best is 129.1 innings in 2017

he's hit well in AAA the last two years, but the strikeout rates are high... and 2023 was his third year at the level. Not sure it's going to get a lot better at this point. Regardless, I don't think there's a ton to prove in the minors at this point and I think you just need to see if he can improve things getting more reps

It's great if he bounces back to 2019-21 Giolito, but I'm not optimistic that will happen. I'd like to think he won't give up 41 home runs again, but home runs have been an issue for him even before 2023.

From the start, they've said they like Montgomery. As a Boras agent (like Snell), he'll be signed very late...

Even if they do sign him, they'll still need one more, and I like the Cease trade rumors. I don't care if they give Chicago 5 top prospects...

Stroman was a fucking horror show after the ASB though.

I am not overly optimistic about this signing.
