Just saw that Sanchez dropped 20 pounds....Maybe he can move better towards blocking a ball in the dirt than going to the fridge....

This would be awesome:

TAMPA, Fla. — Will Ybor City be the new home for the Tampa Bay Rays?

The Rays have confirmed with ABC Action News that a news conference is planned for 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Hillsborough County Commissioner Ken Hagan said Rays owner Stuart Sternberg will make a major announcement about the future of baseball in Ybor.

“The Ybor City Chamber conducted a poll immediately after our October announcement, in which 92% of the businesses said that it will be good for Ybor City," said Hagan. “The Rays are not going to stay in St. Pete. They’re either going to be in Ybor or another region.”

St Augustine-about an hour and a half to Orlando, but takes me 3 1/2 to get to the over-sized gymnasium in St Pete. Horrible place to watch baseball, but at least getting there is an enormous pain in the ass! :)

Trivia time: Built in 1888, what luxury hotel in St. Augustine was restored and renovated in 1999?

Tampa's interesting for sure. That another region mentioned, would that still be in the state of Florida or elsewhere?

Would be somewhere in the Tampa metro area, I assume. There was a lot of talk about putting it in the fairgrounds area a few years back, but that fizzled. Ybor is a very vibrant area, lots of restaurants and clubs, but I have a hard time conceptualizing where they're going to fit a 50,000 seat stadium.

The parking and traffic will be the biggest nightmare.....

Sox are considering Logan Morrison as a backup plan to JDM. That would have made a lot more sense if they hadn't resigned Moreland. Sox don't need three players to rotate at 1B/DH.

if be afraid of Morrison being a one hit wonder that wouldnt duplicate his year last year

and off the top of my head, I feel like he fell off a cliff after the ASB

I don't expect Morrison to replicate last year's 36 home runs, but the power surge doesn't look like a total fluke. Even though he fell off in the second half (.231/.333/.452 after hitting .258/.367/.564 in the first half), he still put up strong power numbers and 14 of his 51 hits were home runs.

FWIW, Steamer projects his 2018 season to be in line with his second half stats (.244/.337/.459). Still not ideal for a 1B/DH. It would be a marginal upgrade over Moreland IMO though Morrison has more upside. Still, I don't think he makes sense for the Sox at this point. I think there's a better chance (a healthy) Hanley replicates his 2016 season than Logan replicates his 2017 season.

Sox already have Moreland and Hanley. Another 1B/DH doesn't look like a need at this point.

Goose gonna goose.

He gets more mental as he gets older. No recognition of the fact that the reason he wasn't invited this year is because every year he comes in and makes a spectacle of himself.
