I give up trying to figure out Baltimore.

Now 39-42 over their last 81 games. Yanks offense was going to cool off sooner or later, it was only a matter of time.

had no idea the Sox promoted Ockimey to AA. That's exciting. I might have to try to catch them next time they go to Trenton. Speaking of AA, seems like Jake Cosart's finally sorted out his command issues. 20/4 K/BB over his last 15.2 innings (still has 36 walks in 40 innings this year).

Yanks have a real logjam at 1B/3B/DH. Amazing how bad Holliday's been since coming off the DL (.136/.165/.198). His triple slash has gone from .262/.366/.511 to .229/.319/.430.

Is it really worth benching Sanchez though? Romine has a 59 OPS+ this year (career 58 OPS+). Is Romine's defense that much better right now to make up for the fact that Sanchez is a million times better offensively?

I wouldn't bench sanchez. I would bench Holliday and make sanchez the everyday dh except for when romine need a rest. We need better defense behind the plate. I think Girardi is reaching his boiling point with Sanchez pass balls

No its called being in a slump. They scored 3 runs or less in 5 straight games. They would be last in runs per game if this is how they performed throughout the season.

It's already happening. They're hitting .238/.306/.399 (85 wRC+) over the last 30 days. I'm not saying it's a bad lineup, it's still one of the better offenses in the AL. But there were plenty of guys due for regression.
