And yet there's a 100x more bitching and moaning about this year's team.

Because much more has been and will be expected of them. Especially with the acquisition of Sale. Also the offense was so stellar last season that people expected it to continue. I was one of those people, granted I didn't think it would be as good as it was with Papi but very close.

After a fantastic campaign in Salem (.318/.388/.641, 17 HR), Michael Chavis is hitting .298/.352/.573 with 9 HR in 36 games at AA. It's also encouraging to see him cut down on the K's (from 22.8% at A+ to just 14.5% in AA). There's talk of the Sox using him as a trade chip, but why don't they see if he can play 1B? Travis has been pretty meh at AAA and I worry he doesn't have enough power to make him a viable 1B even though he hasn't looked too overwhelmed at the major league level (granted its 50 PA).

Honestly at this point I hope they hold onto him and let him play a season at the big league level to see what he has. Also, I want the Red Sox to build up their minor league system after they pretty much decimated it via trades this season

Hellickson. They are going to make sure he pitches since they went out and got him.
Wade Miley is the only lefty. He basically is guaranteed to be in the rotation by simple lefty default.
Bundy is the only consistently effective starter. He might be the #1 next year.

So, is it Ubaldo, Gausman, or Tillman being bounced.
Honestly, I hate to say it. But, Tilman might be the worst pitcher on a bad rotation.

All the other 5 pitchers have dominated this week.
Tillman better not suck tonight or Buck might think my way as well.

So they've taken 194 "extra bases" when taking into account stolen bases. They've been caught 78 times. So essentially they are successful 71.3% of the time. That would be 25th best in baseball.

I was following Tuesday's game on Gamecast, saw strike 3 for the third out and closed the app, thinking the Sox lost. Didn't know the 3rd strike wasn't caught and Vasquez hit his homer until the next morning. It was a good day.

It was like a little league game. Sale, Carrasco, Miller, and Kimbrel all get lit up. Vazquez and AJax are the stars. One of the craziest games I've ever watched.

I'm not sure what's more amazing, that Austin Jackson is still in the league or that he's hitting .328/.405/.496 (albeit in 45 games)?
