I don't know if it's the back injury from earlier this year or the switch to the 6 man rotation but Marco Estrada needs to get his shit together.

Doesn't excuse another ghost appearance by what a month ago was one of the best offences in baseball but there's no reason whatsoever the Jays should be getting smacked by the fucking Angels.

Saw the Angels over the weekend and they're pretty trash

I can't believe how easily their pitching is getting its shit handed to them by the O's.

Unfreaking real. I was thinking the Nats would win 2 games at least. Possibly 3 of 4. Thought the Yanks would be able to gain a 1.5 or 2 before their series with them

National League is a disgraceful league and shouldnt be allowed to participate in the WS

When you have a stumbling, collapsing Baltimore go and beat the living snot out of the best team in the NL, that league should be tossed in the trash can

Sit the fuck down Souza. Pomeranz should have plunked him when he was granted that bullshit timeout.

Pomeranz is doing his job so far (4 IP, 0 R, 7 K). Can the Sox please score some fucking runs?

If the Nats somehow lose tonight with Scherzer going up against Jimenez, I will be livid
I will be extremely happy since it means Ubaldo actually had a decent start or the offense covered for him.

I believe the O's and their fans took these rivalry games more seriously then the Nats and their fans. The Nats have been flat the whole series barring that 9th inning last night. We caught them at a good time I think as well because they seem to be streaky. If you looked at the crowd last night, there looked to be more orange shirts in the crowd than red ones.

Throw out the records and matchups.
It is a very important regional cultural rivalry for the two sister cities.

Baltimore views itself as the hardworking blue collar born and raised lunch pail crowd.
They view DC as transplants eating wine and cheese at the games.

It is sort of a make believe fantasy from O's fans, since both areas are fabulously wealthy to absurd levels.
Something like 15 of the 20 wealthiest counties are either Baltimore or DC based.

REALITY: Super Duper Wealthy Baltimore fans vs Super Duper Wealthy DC fans at the games.

This WC race is sick. There are 5 teams 4 losses or fewer behind the O's. Something tells me the AL East is going to beat each other up in September so only 2 teams will make it and the other WC spot will go to Detroit, KC, or Seattle

I still think the O's fall just short. Just not seeing it with that rotation, especially with Tillman hitting the DL. I've been pretty impressed with Bundy's starts so far, but there's a lot of weight on the shoulders of a guy who's missed the majority of the last 3-4 years to injuries and has only topped 100 innings in professional baseball once.

I wouldn't be surprised if the stacked schedule catches up to the Red Sox sooner or later and they just miss out. There's a lot of weight on the rotation's shoulders right now given the unreliability of the bullpen. Which would be a bit disappointing as I think the Sox stack up pretty well to any other AL team.
