Sanchez will look good next to Plantier and Maas in the HOF.

Another day, another Red Sox win. Buchholz of all people throws a gem (6.1 IP, 1 R, 9 K).

As much as I have been talking up Sanchez, him turning into Maas has been in the back of my mind.

I always hoped Plantier reached his potential once he went to San Diego.

I think Sanchez has a much better chance than Montero did, mostly because Sanchez looks like he can at least stick at catcher. Sanchez has pretty good power himself. I think he could be pretty good.

Like your boy Benni, how they come out of their first slump will be the determining factor on Judge and Sanchez.

He's been a lot of fun to watch. I don't think his ceiling's as high as Bogaerts or Betts (whose ceiling seems to get higher every day), but he should be a good ballplayer.

Damn it, Tillman is heading to the DL and we have Miley and Ubaldo on the mound the next couple nights. So much for momentum. :gaah:

I hear girardi was forced to watch the Little League World Series, to watch the coaches closely, he was told to see if he can learn anything from them

Heres a big Big BIG difference

Maas was a ZERO in terms of being a legit prospect, no minor league track record that said he would eventually be a star on the next level....So his start in the bigs had people knowing it wouldnt last

Sanchez is on a trajectory people have expected since he is 18, with only maturity issues holding him back, according to what scouts say

Ivan Nova complete game win last night...........That would have never been allowed in the Bronx, Girardi would have hooked him after 6 shutout and 73 pitches

As long as they are not playing the AL West...... I'll deal with the limited roster.

Even at full strength, the Orioles cannot beat them. We could not beat them with Palmer on the mound.

57-34 versus everyone else.
12-22 versus the west

Except Miley has been awful in three of his four starts with the Oakland game being his only decent start. I expect that they'll probably bring up Wright, Wilson or Despaigne to take Tillman's place.

Yankees win. Solid West Coast trip. Really should have finished 5-1. Monday night was disappointing. Big weekend series coming up back in the Bronx with the O's

In all seriousness, it would help if the Nats did not their ass handed to them by the O's this week. Best case scenario is the O's lose tomorrow and we sweep them or at least win 2 of 3. If those things happens we would be 3.5 out of the final WC spot heading into the final month of the season

Best case would have been the Nats completing the comeback tonight and putting the O's into a tailspin.

They did at least score a run on Britton and end his streak.
