I think it's going to be a great September in the AL East. Any of Toronto, Boston or Baltimore could win that division.

And the Yankees get their opportunity to play spoiler :heh:

They play the top 3 in the East 20 times in September including the final 10 games

Seriously. Can Farrell please stop putting him in high leverage situations?

Sox bullpen sucks, but Tazawa looks absolutely cooked.

Sandy Leon currently leads AL catchers in WAR. Despite having only 153 PA.

He's hitting .382/.437/.654. Prior to this season, he had only 5 XBH in over 200 PA (4 doubles, 1 HR). He's hit 12 doubles, 2 triples, and 7 home runs this year.

Orioles continue their "all or nothing" ways

They either hit a zillion home runs or they get shut out

It doesn't matter who they play, whether its a last place or first place team

They are trying to hit a homerun on every pitch no matter what the situation

it will drive me to drink

They're very reminiscent of the Jays before the deadline last year. That isn't a good thing (for them).

2016 Team Payroll:
1. Bankees $213 million
2. Boston $182 million
3. Baltimore $115 million
4. Toronto $112 million.

Bankee fans can't possibly be excited about playing spoiler to three other teams. That's something Rays fans might get something out of. Another year of massively wasted money.

Yankees clearly waved the white flag on the season. Yankees were never expected to win the world series or anything. Your argument is lame and stupid

It's not an argument, it's a fact. The Bankees yet again embarrassed themselves spending eons more than almost anyone else and doing even worse than their usual choking (which at least usually comes after some type of arguable success...like making the playoffs)...this year they got no bang for that insane buck.

The Yankees may get to play spoiler, but nobody is shaking in their boots at the prospect of playing the team that performs the worst in the division when it comes to their rivals this year...the 19-27 Bankees.

How are they choking when they were expected to be a low to mid 80 win team? Bang for what buck? What major free agent signings did they make last off season NAME ONE. I dare you

Whoever said any team would be shaking in their boots?

I think the Yankees have accepted that they have to build for the future now. Bit strange for them to be like that but there it is.

I think that was pretty apparent at the trade deadline.
