I beg to differ.
Fuck you
I beg to differ.

Jays currently laying yet another smackdown on the Bankees! Loving that Toronto will be a big part of why NY just couldn't quite make relevancy. They were almost there, sniffing that Wild Card race, but this should put them out of their misery for good.
I'm getting a little concerned that Toronto is striking out so much against wack pitchers. They struck out like 50 times in the Astros series and have made the last two crappy Yankee starters look like their were throwing magical fast balls.
And also no matter what happens the Yankees are going to enter tomorrow the same amount of games out as they entered today. So yeah this game isn't exactly knocking the Yankees out of the playoffs.
Yanks need a lot to go right for that to happen though.

Um...Dave Stieb had an .800 BAA when he 2outs in the ninth inning of a no hitter.
Well, the Yankees are 3-9 this season vs. Toronto so technically he has a point at the moment.Toronto a big part on why the Yankees won't make the playoffs? What?

I'm not really bragging about anything but keep in mind that when the Jays sucked forever the dome would fill up with local Yankee fans and others who drove from Buffalo and elsewhere near the border to make it a pseudo home game for them when they came to town (ditto for Boston). It's kinda cool for it to be the other way around for a little bit, even if anyone with half a brain realises the Yankees are obviously in rebuild mode (with a $220 mil payroll) and don't really have a prayer this season. The Yankees are not concerned about making the playoffs. If they really were they wouldn't have traded 2 of their best players so yeah bragging about that is kind of lame when the Yankees basically waved the white flag on the season last month

Yep. Seems pretty obvious:
1. They are 9-3 against the Bankees. Flip that and if NY had dominated them the same, they'd be a playoff team. Their inability to handle the superior Jays has had a big impact.
2. The Jays are one of the teams ahead of them in the standings and currently the Daddy of their division.
1) The Yankees are not a good team. Expecting them to dominate one of the best teams in baseball is not realistic.
2) I think the Sox will have something to say about that.
