It certainly won't be hitting.

Jays need to hope the bats are thumping all year. Their staff needed some upgrades and all they did was sign JA Happ (again)...that's not good enough to replace what Price and Buehrle gave them last year.

To be fair they will have a healthy Stroman who missed almost all of last year, a few upgrades in the pen as well. I do think they should have tried to get a decent starter though.

Its a shame how much salary dictates these things.....With the way Sabathia pitches, on top of his ill timed hiatus during the postseason last year, there is no way he would feel confident having a spot in the rotation, if he didnt get paid $30 million this season (or whatever it is)........What other starter who performs the way he does, would ever feel comfortable with their spot on the roster at all?
