Fangraphs projects the Sox rotation to be worth 14.5 WAR, good for 9th in the majors. Yankees are 7th at 14.6. Rays at 14th kinda surprised me (13.6). Jays are 26th and O's are 29th.

Free agents are projected to be worth more than the Braves rotation, lol.

Thought the Jays would be higher than 26th. Could pitching be their achille's heel this year and prevent them from repeating as AL East champs.

What is the general consensus on how the AL East will finish?

Is it...

Boston
Toronto
New York
Baltimore
Tampa Bay

?

My answer would be that all 5 teams have serious flaws, but 4 of the 5 have enough strengths to run off a ten plus game winning streak. IMO Toronto will repeat with Boston and New York fighting for second.

It certainly won't be hitting.

Jays need to hope the bats are thumping all year. Their staff needed some upgrades and all they did was sign JA Happ (again)...that's not good enough to replace what Price and Buehrle gave them last year.
