I take back some of my criticism of Farrell. He's been very aggressive (almost Tito-esque) with his bullpen management. He pulled Pomeranz even though he had only 78 pitches through 5 innings and had only given up one run (he wasn't great, but still pretty effective). He IBB'd Dickerson (the winning run) in the ninth to pitch to a minor leaguer and it worked.

Sox bullpen has been pretty amazing this month. Uehara and Kelly have been very effective since coming back up and even Tazawa's looking a lot better as of late. Kimbrel's been on a roll since his implosion against the Rangers in July. The bullpen getting it together late in the season gives me a 2003 vibe, along with the potent offense.

As much joking around as we were doing about the Cubs and Marlins earlier this year, I do root for the Marlins in the NL and have always enjoyed watching Jose Fernandez play the game. Just the excitement you could see in that kids face while he was on the diamond. He would make you remember being a kid and why you love this game so much.

In the game Severino hit Donaldson in the first inning. The pitch grazed Donaldson's elbow, that was leaning over the plate. The Jays took offense at this and Happ throw two pitches at Headley to start the second.

That wasn't intentional. Donaldson is a little bitch. Everyone in baseball knows this. Soon enough he will get his fucking jaw rocked just like Bautista. I'm betting on next year.

He's been thrown at 3 times in the past week. Even if it was unintentional, the Jays needed to respond. The Jays have also been thrown at more than all but 3 teams in baseball this season so it runs a little thin after a while.

I personally would've preferred they didn't as their minds should've been focused solely on sweeping the garbage Yanks but it happened and it's done.
