Kimbrel will be a joy to watch in the playoffs.
Congrats on the win. I still can't believe it.Technically not meaningless. I was assuming we would lose. with this win the Yanks are alive for another day
I can hardly wait. This entire pitching staff is painful to watch. Clay finally has a game and the closer and Kelly can't get 3 outs.Kimbrel will be a joy to watch in the playoffs.

Yep but Kelly gave up a bomb that no one else was able to hit one out tonight? Granted it was on a line. I wonder if the wind lessened right about that time?To be fair to Kelly he was put in a bad spot. Kimbrel is at fault.
Pitching wins championships. In the playoffs and WS you're facing the best hitting teams. Sorry I don't feel comfortable at all.they're 8th in MLB in ERA... it's not the '98 Braves, but it isn't exactly the 1996 Tigers either.

That group consistently pitched better than what Boston has.The 2006 Cardinals had a rotation of Chris Carpenter, Jason Marquis, Jeff Suppan, Mark Mulder (not good Mulder either), Anthony Reyes and Jeff Weaver. Their bullpen consisted of the likes of Braden Looper, a declining Jason Isringhausen, and Randy Flores.

Yep. He's making a weird argument - 2006 Cards are the shining example of the playoffs being a crapshoot. Tigers had the best arms in baseball and were in the top third in offence. Cards were bottom half in both aspects and yet the WS wasn't even close.2006 Cards: 4.54 ERA (9th), 98 ERA+, 6.1 WAR in NL
2016 Red Sox: 4.00 ERA (3rd), 115 ERA+, 15.2 WAR in AL
"better"
He's been thrown at 3 times in the past week. Even if it was unintentional, the Jays needed to respond. The Jays have also been thrown at more than all but 3 teams in baseball this season so it runs a little thin after a while.
I personally would've preferred they didn't as their minds should've been focused solely on sweeping the garbage Yanks but it happened and it's done.
Where did I say it was intentional by Severino? I just said they felt they needed to retaliate. That's dandy, but Severino's pitch to him certainly could've been avoided. Certainly doesn't look like he's clearly throwing at him.

I'm not a homeristic dipshit, and moreso I don't really care for the personalities of certain guys on my favorite team. But in this case I can at least kinda understand where they're coming from by throwing back and causing a stink.
