Hoping for a tigers win and Yankees win tomorrow. Would enter next week in a 3 way tie for the 2nd week if that happens

Personally, I'm hoping for Yankee Stadium to get hurdled into the sun

Blue Jays and Red Sox are playing a close 1 today. Jays win and they're tied with Boston again.

Red Sox now at 790 runs. They need 110 in the final 20 games to reach 900, or an average of 5.5 runs per game. They're averaging 5.52 R/G on the season. Last team to score 900+ runs was the 2009 Yanks. Last year's Jays came awfully close at 891.

(Just looking back, the 2007 Yanks scored almost 1000 runs? Jesus. I knew they had a good lineup with A-Rod having a monster year, but I didn't remember it being that good.)

Pedroia's been coming up big for the Red Sox in the 2nd half. He's batting .372/.425/.503 (not including today) since the ASB. He's batting over .400 since the beginning of August.

Jays might need to fire Gibbons in-season. Whatever the fuck is going on, he has no idea how to stop it at the most important time of the season.

They might've set the record for GIDP's in a 3 game set this weekend.

If Miley is pitching, the Orioles might just mail in game one of the boston series...save the pen for a more competitive game

Almost scored in every inning tonight. Scored at least one run in each of the first seven innings.

12-2... Red Sox continue to pad their run differential. Price with another gem (8 IP, 9 K, only 2 hits (solo home runs)).

Yankees game was so bad so quickly I put the football game on.:tsk:

They can't afford to come out and commit errors right now.

Aaron Judge, first off, i don't care who you are, how big you are, you come into this league with that # 99 on your back, you are putting a target on your head. You are unproven, and you look and act like you are bigger then the game.. be a team player first! nice error that cost the team 3 runs, and game, when the team is fighting for its playoff life.. get your head out of your azz!

Never knew #99 was such a famous jersey number in baseball. Check out this list of HOF who wore 99 lol. Seriously do you talk to just hear yourself. There is no target on his back for wearing that jersey number.

This article makes @Pastafazul looks pretty stupid. It is exactly what I thought. The Yankees gave him this # in Spring Training and he stuck with it. No baseball player would choose to wear that number on their own.

"They gave it to me in spring training and it just kind of stuck with me a little bit," Judge told NJ Advance Media.

Sure has.

Judge was 99 in the spring, then 99 this season playing for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and he's been 99 again since debuting in the majors last weekend.

Yankees' Aaron Judge on wearing 99, not his favorite number
