Indians Place Brad Hand On Outright Waivers
The Indians have placed All-Star closer Brad Hand on waivers to try to save $1 million. Read more at MLB Trade Rumors.www.mlbtraderumors.com
This is a stunner. Tribe in full cost control mode apparently.
In another stunning move, the White Sox have plucked 90 year old Tony La Russa from a retirement home to manage the team.....
Wow. Did not see this coming.
And he's taking over a team right on the cusp, shades of Joe Torre, eh?

Not a stunner to Indians fans. Dolan is an old, cheap fuck.
Would love if they sent Dolan to a retirement home and sell the damn team. He's been holding back Cleveland for decades...CoV1d isn't helping now as well.
So old Tony got himself another DUI, and apparently Reinsdorf was aware, overruled his GM and hired him anyway.
And the manager they forced out is a finalist for manager of the year.
Just like they drew it up!
i have faith they will do well trading Lindor.Nice knowing you Lindor. Great player but tbh he just isn't worth $200M at this point but it's not like he ever had a chance to be an Indian for life with this cheap ass owner. They better get max value for him, one future star and 2-3 other young players.
Indians intend to trade potential Mets target Francisco Lindor before Opening Day
That the Indians plan to deal Lindor, who is one year away from free agency, should not come as a surprise. Cleveland, in a sign that it was in the midst of a money crunch, waived star reliever Brad Hand on Oct. 29 in order to clear $10 million from their payroll.sports.yahoo.com
