Twins to Byron Buxton: Sign $70 million extension or we will trade you
You’re either with them or against them. The Minnesota Twins offered outfield Byron Buxton a long-term extension that is above $70 million, according to The Athletic. The deal also includes e…nypost.com
Hell of a talent, but the injury history is very scary. He's in his 7th MLB season and he's played only 459 games, which isn't even three complete seasons. He's played one season with over 100 games and that was in 2017 (140 G). And that's probably not something that will get better as he gets older either, so he should take the money.

They increased their offer to over $80MM. The door is not closed by either side and, hopefully, a deal can be reached. I would love to see what Buxton can do in a full, healthy season. He could be an MVP candidate.Twins to Byron Buxton: Sign $70 million extension or we will trade you

@JohnShadows do we really need 2 al central threads stickied up here?
Sad to hear this. He was one of the best catchers of his era.RIP Tigers legend Bill Freehan.
He also has a shot at joining the 3000 hit club before the end of the season. If he does, he'd be the first player to ever reach that and 500 home runs in the same season.
