they're 4th in the AL in ERA. teams with worse pitching staffs have won before, and plenty of great pitching staffs have fallen short before.

I wasn't talking about their starters. Their BP is pretty bad, at least recently. I would say in the postseason BP is very very important. Not too many chances to get far in the postseason giving up runs late in games. Their offense is so good it could be bearable though.

Baldelli has lost several games. 3 or 4 minimum.

But I don't think this is one of them. Polanco being stupid on the base paths or a pickoff error or May puking against Naiquin isn't on him.

Even if he brought in Rogers (who is extremely overworked as it is). The game is still a 6-5 loss, not a 7-5 loss.

He left Gibson in after an inning that included 3 runs on like 3 walks. A double. And probably 30 pitches.

He pulled Berrios with a 2 hitter going. Now has left Berrios, Perez and Gibson in while getting shelled

3 walks has nothing to do with the ump lmao. He’s had control problems

Bieber has been sharp and still overcoming that strike zone. Smeltzer has gotten a number of calls that Bieber hasnt. At least be consistent. Bieber just had two straight batters where he didnt get the same call as Smeltzer. It has nothing to do with a pitcher being wild
