Nava, when did you add the A's? Not a Bruins fan?

I am, but I'm only a very casual B's/hockey fan. I used to be a lot more interested in hockey when I was little.

I added the A's because I'm a huge baseball fan in general and the A's have kinda become a "2nd favorite team" to me. Always liked them, but liked them even more after they added guys like Crisp/Moss/Reddick/Lowrie. And Donaldson's been a really fun player to watch.

:/

Another excellent performance by Scherzer tonight. 9 K's in 8 innings, actually bringing his K/9 down from 11.77 to a [sarcasm]measly[/sarcasm] 11.49.

Twins make it 3 straight after 4 straight losses.

At least we keep hanging around!!!

Yep, the Twinkies are the only other team in the ALC, besides Detroit, at .500 or better.

The Tigers need to hand 'em at least two losses this weekend. Anything less than 3-of-4 against Houston and 2-of-3 against Minny would be a disappointing home stand, IMO.

I know it was only the Astros, but Max did what he had to do: Kept putting donuts on the board on a day that the offense struggled. Good to see him go 8. Only 1 walk and 3 hits. Season ERA down to 1.79, and Max now has the same number of innings as Verlander (47). Both are going pretty deep into games so far.

Today is the game the offense needs to jump early for the rook. No struggling today...The BP is rested and can give the 3-4 innings if Robbie can give them a QS.

Screw Hosmer. His best season was his rookie year, when he hit 19 homeruns in 128 games. He helped my fantasy team win a title and I suckered myself into drafting him the next two years waiting to see that elite prospect everyone talked about.

My guess is -- he will do pretty much what he has the last couple years. Hit 15-20 homeruns and be a gap hitter. I just don't see him being a guy that is going to hit for much power.

His best season was last year, where he put up his best AVG, OBP, OPS, and his WAR was more than twice as high as his rookie season.

He's still only 24, and power many players is the last thing to develop, so he could def improve in that category soon.

This, though I think Hosmer hits way too many ground balls right now for him to enjoy a true power outbreak.

Yeah, some were expecting a Billy Butler power surge when he reached 26-27, but he's 28 now and we're still waiting. Hosmer has a different stroke, however, so it could still happen for him.

Tigers got a chance to build a nice lead....3 more vs houston than 3 at home with minny.....tigers are usually a slow starting team.

Lets hope they dont run away too early, the board will be full of Tigers fans talking about how the Series is already won and a couple Twins and Royals fans talking about 2015.
