O please. Penn state is bad and Michigan finally lost one of their close games vs crappy teams. It was ineveitable. I wish Oregon's secondary could play you guys. Colorblind Gardner would pad our INT stats.

Nava - I've been saying it all season. Max Scherzer will be traded this offseason to the highest bidder. Detroit doesn't have a license to print money and even if they have a billionaire owner, who has shown he will to open his wallet -- it has to stop at some point.

Detroit already has 3 20+ million dollar players in Verlander, Cabrera and Fielder. Sanchez is getting 16 million, VMart and Torii are getting 12 and 14 million.

I think Detroit will trade Scherzer to a team for some blue chip prospects or maybe someone willing to part with a quality MLB talent.

If they don't trade him -- Scherzer has Boras as an agent and if Detroit doesn't re-sign him -- they only get a measily draft pick for him.

As much as I would LOVE to have him signed to Detroit long term -- I just don't think fiscally it is the best idea for the Tigers in the long run.

Knobler loves The Tigers. Almost as much as he loves to write columns that a Tigers poster could/would/does write. Dirks, Jackson, Max... Two of the three wont be back. Too bad Jackson is destroying his value by disappearing at the plate.
