dabums is arguing just to argue. even he can't be dumb enough to actually believe what he typing. Hosmer is basically Casey Kotchman of 2012, with a few more HRs.

what cracks me up is -- he doesn't realize 1st base is a power position and Hosmer is lacking in that department, having never hit 20 homeruns in a season and only having more HRs than ONE 1B in the entire AL that is an everyday player and is ranked 9th in RBI's.

Casey Kotchman, lol, wow, and you can't be that "dumb" at all to compare Hosmer to Kotchman but if thats your view, itmustberight..(love it when anyone goes into name calling mode, ie mostly tigers fan, the best way to put an exclamation point on stressing the importance of your view point or opinion, lol) and again, with your power position....are you even old enough to know John Olerud, Rod Carew, Will Clark, Tony Perez, Julio Franco, Kieth Hernandez, Mark Grace, Steve Garvey, Ryan Klesco, Don Mattingly and on and on...none of them were power guys, sure they have a few seasons of 30ish HR's, will go out on a limb and say Hosmer will go over 30 at least once or twice in his career, well after the age of 23 but for their careers were NOT power guys.

There have been PLEANTY of players who were not Power hitting 1st basemen, they also put really good hitters at the position, they put just power guys there who can't play defense also but can catch a ball thrown to them.....and guess what else....hardly ANY 1st baseman, power or not, have more HR's by 23 years old than Hosmer...

But hey, you got this one all figured out, youmustberight...

horrific ending to the Royals/Rangers game....the guy I dislike the most with a walk off grand slam....Royals will not get into the playoffs but everyone will want the Royals to sign this Jeff Maxwell Francour guy now....not kidding, its the worst way the Royals could win a game right now....freakin Royals will now sign this strikeout artist for a longer contract now....unbelievable.

We have him for a couple years from now if we do nothing...

How many times did Barry fumble during his ridiculously amazing career? Anybody know off the top of their head?

Chiefs 3-0
Bears 2-0 (probably will be 3-0 soon)
Lions 2-1
Browns 1-2
Vikings 0-3

Looking like an interesting season for our football teams I guess.

P.S. DON'T START CASSEL, be prepared for 2-14 if you do.

PSS Lol at the Browns for trading Richardson.

41 Dougie. He had ten as a rookie. But Good Ol' Sweetness had 86, so 41 ain't so bad. (Emmitt had 61) AllDay AP only had 27 coming into today. He can prolly catch Barry by the end of the year, so long as his knee holds up.

I was thinking around 15. Not sure how many any of those actually lost. Just looked for fumbles in general.

dabums -- you can put any list from the past you'd like. it is a different game today, which is why as i said, Hosmer only has more HRs than 1 everyday 1st baseman (Paul Konerko) in the AL.

and for the 100th time i will say -- hosmer has the POTENTIAL to be the player you are making him out to be, but at this point, he hasn't put it all together for a full season.

.229/.280/.333, 72 OPS+, -0.8 WAR
Hosmer 2013:
.304/.356/.454, 120 OPS+, 3.5 WAR

I said Kotchman when he was on TB. I thought it was last year, but it was 2011, when he hit .306 with 11 homeruns.
