All that was proven is that bums will make up stats or outright LIE to make a point about how bad the Tigers are.

(And by the way, the 2003 -- not 2004 -- Tiger season was the highest loss total in American League history, but lower than the 1962 Mets' 120 losses. It was also only the 7th-worst season in major league history since 1900 by win percentage. Nothing to be proud of, just correcting your statement.)

The fact is, it's alarming the two teams' loss totals since 1969 are that close, given that the Royals have had 1 winning season in the last 17. I guess that godawful stretch from 1994-2005 for the Tigers did some serious damage to the W-L totals.
