Verlander had 1 bad inning. good thing we were playing a weaker team like the Indians... He found his curve ball and was dropping it off the table. he will be sharp his next start

1 bad inning? He allowed 7 base runners in the 1st two innings and neither of those innings are the bad inning you are referring too.

I think a lot of people on CBS gametracker were overreacting to this but his WHIP has to be a concern right now. Lucky he's still got the strikeout stuff or his ERA could be higher. I think he will figure it out though. But 1 bad inning is wrong.

And boy they want him to get wins bad. 91 pitches, rain delay. A game he doesn't even deserve to win...and they throw him back out there to get the two more outs.

During Verlander's last 3 starts - he is less and less effective each time out. I think any Tiger fan who isn't very worried is burying his head in the sand.

Yeah, the Twinkies fans were actually thinking turn-around season when the team was a few games over .500 and in 2nd place. Just goes to show how fleeting April-May success can be. The cream eventually rises to the top, and the dregs eventually settle to the bottom.

Yeah, the Tigers-Indians series was only two games, but it was important in that it evened the Tigers road record at 12-12. Got to go at least .500 on the road this season, win their usual 50 at home, and that should be plenty enough to win the ALC.

Porcello (2-2, 5.92) vs. Diamond (3-4, 4.99) tonight. Rick coming off three very good starts since that 0.2 IP, 9-run debacle in Anaheim. Hope that doesn't mean he's due for his usual clunker.

Might only be a 2 game sweep, BUT its a sweep, ON THE ROAD. Tigers picked up 2 quick games. And its still early.....tigers are usually 6-7 games out of first by now......west coast trip and a 4 game trip to texas are already off the schedule. Cant wait to play the injuns more. Was like batting practice off of their "cy young candidate" verlander may be struggling, but we do also have scherzer, fister, and sanchez picking up the slack. What does cleveland have? Masterson? Who never has had a complete year where hes good most of the year.

Umm...outside of maybe Quest...what Twins fan thought this? Or are you just saying things? Me and pretty much every other twins fan loved the way we were hanging around and hoped it would last for a while because we still werent even playing well. We have like 5-6 guys who can't hit a lick and our starters blow. Bullpen got taxed and the loses came.

Only thing any Twins fan has said is the solid start(based on standards) gave room for future optimism as Hicks(even with struggles) and Arcia are getting major experience and both look to be big for our future.

IDK who thought "turn around season". Unless you mean simply winning more games than last two years....which I still think we will probably do.
