Just in case dougie is smarter than he appears.....go to Fangraphs. Check out Fielding for 3b. Look at UZR and Range Factors. Cabrera is listed as 23 out of 24 - for qualifying 3Bs.

Heavy sigh for poor doug.
One more time dougie. It is my view that RIGHT NOW (as in today) JV is the Tigers 5th best starter. I think for the last 3 months, Porcello, and the rest of the staff, have pitched better than Verlander. I don't know why that is such a hard concept for you to grasp.

As for Miggy....only a dyed-in-the-wool 'cheerleader', like you doug, would say Cabrera is a good 3B. He hasn't been as bad as some figured he would be....but he has no range (lacks quickness) playing 3B. I won't go into 'range factor for an infielder because, 1. I think it is over your head and 2. I don't think you can read for comprehension.

BTW doug.....I bet you look great in your cheerleader outfit. Hope the skirt isn't too short though.

Benoit, Smyly, and Veras are a nice cog of 3, and Rondon is an off and on 4th guy. While the pen lacks depth, it's plenty good enough as long as the starters remain solid. Prince?? Naww, I'm not worried about him, he will get his #s in there someplace, he's at 76 RBI right now on pace for 115+.. he'll have 'em. Even with him not hitting .300 the Tigers are still thunderin' their asses off, even to the point of whacking good pitchers like Strasburg and Gonzalez. When Fielder does get hot again, heaven help those tiring staffs around the league. Playoff teams meeting the Tigers better hope their staffs are fresh and on point or else that ugly lineup will knock their asses stiff too-- bet to it!!

Non-power hitters dont become power hitters over night through 'molding'...sorry...

Peralta has 44 homeruns in roughly 400 games with the Tigers. His season high with the Tigers is 21, which is actually the 3rd most he has hit in a season (he hit 23 and 24 before).

So not sure where the 'non-power hitter becomes a power hitter' is coming from?!?

Tigs will be hurting once they lose Peralta. There goes the gold glove, which wouldn't happen if he played the whole season anyway.

While Peralta may never win a gold glove -- the SS they added Iglesias is already talked about as one of the top 2 defensive SS in the game with Andrellton Simmons of the Braves.

He is most definitely not going to hit for the offensive numbers of Peralta, but I'm guessing he will save the Tigers quite a few runs with his defense at SS.

LOL, you'd think a die-hard Indians fan would know that Peralta showed more power while with the Indians.

I have no problem at all with miggy. They mentioned on last nights mlb show that his defense has been better than what they expected. 3rd base doesnt need much range outside of bunts. I havent seen many teams try and bunt on him. Nice play in last nights game the play before he got hurt. Robbed a double down the line. Some people just have to nit pick. Before he wasnt going to be able to play 3B at all. Now its his range. The guys hitty lights out. As long as he isnt losing us games, then he can keep playing 3B for years to come. He does have a cannon. Tigers have won 9 outta 10 and people are still talkin. Damn!

Ya know!!!

Peralta came up as a good power hitting SS. Hes only got 10 HR's this year. Thats power? Maybe for ramon santiago.

They mentioned on last nights mlb show that his defense has been better than what they expected.

--And I stated just that previously

3rd base doesnt need much range outside of bunts.
--Incorrect. Range at 3b may be smaller in area. But quickness is required

Some people just have to nit pick.
--Stating facts is nit-picking?

Before he wasnt going to be able to play 3B at all.
--Who said that? I didn't. But I suppose some did.

The guys 'hitting' lights out.
--Has nothing to do with his fielding abilities....plus or minus.

As long as he isnt losing us games,...
--How do you know it hasn't cost games. Errors are not true measures of fielding. Did he fail to get to some easy grounders, most 3B would have gotten?

Tigers have won 9 outta 10 and people are still talkin. Damn!
Do we stop talking? Or are you suggesting we all only shout ''Go Team Go''? We do already have dougie for that. I thought repeating his misspelled blurbs would be redundant.

Ramon Santiago has a career ISO below .100. Peralta has an ISO of .157 this year.

I'm thinking you missed the boat on that post -- he was obviously being sarcstic by mentioning Ramon Santiago, who is, and always will be, nothing more than platoon bench player.

And I can say with certainty -- when you have played 400 games with a team and you have 44 homeruns total -- you are NOT a power hitter.

so 4 hits by JV
Iffy thinks he is a 5th starter ....how you you even think this guy is nothing but a closet tiget hater..

Jhonny P got better when he came to Detroit we mold players..

if he is found to have used PEDs..he will be suspended..
as we all know. MLB never give the Tigers a break on any thing. word is...teams are crying to slow down the tigers...most of it coming across lake erie

If cheat they will find you.

Would you rather win with a known cheater or lose playing fair? That is an easy question, so the only thing they are slowing down is the Tig cheaters. I mean how many are their really, no one will ever know unless they're caught.

White Sox bullpen takes the gas pipe two games in a row. I root against them every night, but have to admit the Indians must be taken seriously. The upcoming head-to-head games with the Tigers will be big.

I thought after Chicago got 2, it was over.

The 'fightin' Franconas' got some cajones, that's for sure. The Cleveland Indians have fought with superb courage throughout the season. FACT. However, the league champion is headed your way next week with the sole purpose of putting the ice-blow on the division, which is invariably what will happen should they take 3. If that happens, there will be nearly a 0% probability of catching them since they also have a favorable remaining schedule. They have set up their rotation for you to catch everyone minus Porcello. Whether that's achieved or not, the Indians would be looking good for a WC since other contestants are beating up each other in the East.. aside from that Texas would be the only other concern for you. That said, before the Tigers series you draw Miami in the 'fishbowl' as Detroit remains home to field the White Sox.. so, both teams will have 'primer' series beforehand.

That kind of thinking speaks of a very schizophrenic/paranoid kind of mind. A 'schizo', paranoid, and dumb. Dougie the triple threat.
