what is rather crazy- Karinchak and Stephen- the top 2 setup man the last couple years- have not thrown a pitch this season because of injury.

the #2 bullpen in baseball is closer to the #15 in baseball then the #1 is to the #2.

Guards should just go get TAnner Scott at this point and make a mega pen.

Scott is who I want the Twins to get

They have an elite back end bullpen. But no reliable lefty. Need one of those

At least the Royals lost so we gain WC cushion.

I really wanted to try and track down the division and bye though. But just seems we ain't destined to do that trading wins/Losses with Cleveland. Unless we dominate the last 8 head to head games and go like 6-2

so much time left and the Guardians are bringing up a rook to start in Philly

we will see what happens at the deadline- but the Guardians have major issues that need addressed and really have not played that well for awhile now.

4.5 is just a solid cushion.

If you told me Correa will get back soon and the rest of the team will stay healthy finally, I'd say maybe.

But I think it'll be tough. Twins have been elite at winning series(12-3 in rubber games), but its been a while since they went on a good win streak. Which is what it will take to catch up.

And they basically announced they don't have the money to make a big trade which is pathetic.

One of the guys they might look at trading away is Andrew Walters- 2nd round draft pick out of Miami last year-- hes a reliever that throws a 100 and could be up now. -or trade somone and call him up.

but the rock of the team is the bullpen--- I would not trade any of them-- they have prospets they can deal from if they want to.

Juan Brito would probably be the best prospect traded thus far at this deadline and he is 100% blocked.
Maybe Sandlin or Barlow but I am kinda doubting it at this point.

Big Christmas baby! lol.

this is how the Guardians do it--- they dont need to play that well to win- they do all the little things right and then have a great pen.

Yesterdays game infuriated me since it seemed everything little thing went wrong- and then of course it culminated in Carrasco getting blown up.
Congrats on your World Series, my guy.

if you ask me, its unreal that the Guardians have the best record in the AL, are 2 games from being the best in baseball but only 4.5 games up.
Unreal for sure. Since the all star break they have struggled and they still are the 2nd best team in baseball.

They have some clear holes that need fixed and if they don’t fix them it won’t mean much in the end. You can’t go into the playoffs. When they made the WS the BP was electric but the rotation was rock solid too. It’s like they aren’t giving themselves a fair shot THIS YEAR without upgrading their rotation

A series win on the road while playing like shit is nice. Dolan better not be a cheap ass and giving up some prospects for a SP.

I can’t wait till this wrinkled, old fuck gives up the team

Can you encourage chris illitch to sell also

Ok. Since Ober apparently owns the Tigers as much as the Royals own him. Time to factor that into my cherry picking.

Ober vs Royals: 2 Starts 6 1/3 innings 14 ER
Ober vs Tigers: 4 starts 26 innings 2 ER
Ober vs everyone else: 14 starts 82 2/3 innings 32 ER- 3.48 ERA

So essentially. He’s unplayable vs Royals. HOF vs Tigers. A legit #2 Vs everyone else

I heard this from numerous people when Dombrowski was hired and yet he’s actually improved the Phillies farm in his tenure.

I’m not sure if this is Dombrowski or Thomson but I don’t like the idea of closer by committee playing matchups. That stuff works in July and August but I think in October guys need to know what their role is. You’re a 7th inning guy, he has the 8th, he takes the 9th kind of deal. Hopefully, the Angels trade marks a change in that by committee philosophy.
Be patient.

He will sell everything he can.

It’s awesome until he gets fired.

Anxious to see what Flaherty brings. And hoping somebody wants Canha.

This rotation is so decimated. Trading Flaherty means we give up on the wild card. But given that Illitch is a cheap fuck we wont be able to re sign Flaherty anyway.

Mize injured again. Hes closing in on bust territory.

This team doesn’t have the offense to do real damage in the playoffs. I’m very much okay with not chasing a WC spot. Even with as well as they’ve played since the break.

Mize might be able to pitch for awhile. But I’m pretty sure he’s shown he isn’t a top of a rotation type guy.
